The Traveller Law Reform Project

If you need legal advice, please contact Travellers Advice Team, 0845 120 2980, or FFT, 01273 234777

Following the disbanding of the Gypsy and Traveller Law Reform Coalition (G&TLRC) in April 2006, Friends Families and Travellers, The Gypsy Council, The Irish Traveller Movement and the London Gypsy and Traveller Unit wanted to establish a way of continuing the valuable work on law reform achieved by the Coalition. These four organisations agreed to set up the Traveller Law Reform Project.

This project will keep the aims of the G&TLRC – to bring about positive changes in the law in relation to the rights and needs of all the Gypsy and Traveller communities – and will monitor the implementation of current legislation.

TLRP has no Policy Development Worker at present and this website will not be updated frequently. TLRP will continue with its work on planning matters and providing administrative help to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Gypsy and Traveller Law Reform.
