The Traveller Law Reform Project

If you need legal advice, please contact Travellers Advice Team, 0845 120 2980, or FFT, 01273 234777

In 2006, Friends Families and Travellers, The Irish Traveller Movement and the London Gypsy and Traveller Unit, established the Traveller Law Reform Project, to help bring about positive changes in the law in relation to the rights and needs of all the Gypsy and Traveller communities and to monitor the implementation of current legislation.

This work is undertaken by a TLRP Policy Development Officer and a Planning advisor. The former post has been vacant for 9 months but TLRP has continued with its work on planning matters and providing administrative help to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Gypsy and Traveller Law Reform. The Policy post has now received funding, and is being advertised.

The Traveller Law Reform Project new Policy Development Officer is Lucy Beckett.
